What Is Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)?

Hydrogen Sulfide is a highly toxic, colorless gas that occurs naturally and can also form as a by-product of industrial processes. It poses significant health and safety risks due to its rapid health effects and flammability.

When is H2S Training Required?

H2S Awareness training is designed for anyone that may work in or around an environment where there is the potential for Hydrogen Sulfide exposure. Refresher training is recommended every 2–3 years or whenever job roles, work processes, or exposure risks change.

Do I Receive a H2S Certificate After Completing the Course?

Yes. Upon successfully passing the final exam, learners receive a Certificate of Achievement for Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Awareness. This certificate may be required by employers to demonstrate competency and compliance.

How Long Is My H2S Certification Valid?

Certificates are valid for 3 years, although employers may require more frequent refresher training depending on workplace conditions, regulatory changes, or the level of exposure risk.
