This course is for anyone who works in or around environments where Hydrogen Sulfide, or H2S, may be present. H2S is a naturally occurring toxic gas, and one that can be a by-product of industrial production.
In this course, you’ll learn in-depth details about H2S and its effects, the importance of mitigating its hazards, and how to respond effectively in the event of an incident.

- The properties of H2S
- H2S roles and responsibilities
- Identifying and assessing H2S hazards
- Health and safety hazards
- Understanding exposure
- Chronic and acute exposure
- Controlling H2S hazards
- H2S engineering, administrative and PPE controls

- Worker rescue
- First aid procedures
To successfully complete the course, learners have 3 attempts to achieve 80% or higher on the exam. Upon completion the learner receives a Certificate of Achievement that is valid for 3 years from the date of completion.Online duration subject to student capabilities.
