Working alone means that you’re working under circumstances where assistance isn’t readily available in the event of an injury, illness, or emergency. In the course of your work tasks, if you can’t be seen or heard by another person, you’re considered a lone worker.

In this Working Alone course, you’ll learn how to identify lone work hazards, and the procedures for controlling them.

Course topics include:

  • Defining working alone
  • Identifying lone work situations
  • Understanding personal security
  • Assessing and controlling lone work hazards
  • Best practices for the five main types of lone workers
  • Effective communication and contact

To successfully complete the course, learners have 3 attempts to achieve 80% or higher on the exam. Upon completion the learner receives a Certificate of Achievement that is valid for 3 years from the date of completion.
